Stephen's early years as a attorney was as a senior counsel with Department of Corporations, State of California as a corporate securities attorney handling public and private financing matters and then and as an associate General Counsel to The Colwell Mortgage Trust (NYSE) specializing in real estate matters. He thus brings to the debt collection arena a wide expertise in understanding business transactions and how that could effectively "return money to its rightful owner".
