BUSINESS BIO:
David L. Fleck, Esq. is a Partner at Rudoy Fleck. He is a trial lawyer, fraud recovery litigator and white collar criminal defense attorney. Mr. Fleck is also Of Counsel with a boutique Baltimore law firm that exclusively litigates and mediates mortgage fraud cases for banks and the FDIC nationwide. Formerly he was a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Major Fraud Division. In 10 years as a deputy district attorney he tried over 50 jury trials involving a broad spectrum of crimes, including mortgage fraud, forgery and identity theft as well murder, child molestation, domestic violence, gang violence and driving under the influence of alcohol. In the area of white collar crime he prosecuted cases involving insurance fraud, mortgage fraud, identity theft, false documents, money laundering, and others.

David is also passionate about teaching. He is certified to provide training to California law enforcement officers using interactive, adult-learning techniques. Recently he created and taught a 2-day, intensive workshop for FDIC investigators. He also helped develop the curriculum for the statewide mortgage fraud investigations course for California detectives, the most comprehensive and intensive training of its kind anywhere in the country. In 2008, the Southern California Chapter of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI) named him Prosecutor of the Year, and more recently, the same organization appointed him to head the Education Committee. Mr. Fleck has provided training to diverse audiences that include the FDIC, major national banks, Fannie Mae, the National Notary Association, the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, the SEC, and the Federal Mortgage Fraud Working Group. He also drafted California legislation in 2005 and 2008 that closed loopholes in the notary laws.

 

PERSONAL BIO:
Mr. Fleck received both his BA (Political Science/International Relations) and JD from UCLA in 1994 and 1997 where he competed as a two-time All-American on the swimming and diving team.
