PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

June 2010

Dear Members.

Now is as good a time as any to send out my Presidents message. First off let me thank all the members of the AllCities Network for their support. . Attendance is up over 25% from last year and if the testimonials are an indicator of deals and money changing hands , then the members are definitely making money.

In the last 30 days, The All Cities Network has expanded its vertical network by introducing 2 new groups. The new Technology Group which meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month (next meeting June 16th) in Century City at the accounting firm of Stonefield Josephson , and the new Professional Services group which meets the 2nd Thursday of every month (next meeting June 10th) at the Law Firm of Greenberg Bass in Encino.

The AllCities Network’s Technology Group is an invitation only group comprised of individuals in the following fields, Directors and officers of Technology companies, Attorneys (Intellectual Property) and CPA's specializing in the Technology field. In addition, we have Bankers and Lenders specializing in Tech firms , along with Mergers and Acquisitions specialists concentrating in this market segment.

The planned discussion topics for the Technology Group range from the economic factors effecting the business sector to the underlying technologies of the participating firms. These topics will cover the national and world economies as it affects or is affected by the Technology market.

The New Professional Services Group is, as all All Cities groups are, by invitation only. This group is comprised of professionals in the fields of Insurance, Wealth Management, Financial Services, Human Resources, Information Technology as well as the traditional bankers, lenders , lawyers, CPA's and a narrow focus of consultants.

All Cities Media, as ever, is on the move. This group is becoming an interesting beast. Whereas our other All Cities groups maintain consistent home bases, the Media group tends to ebb and flow much like the entertainment industry itself. What does this mean? Occasionally revolving host locations, some irregularly-scheduled meetings, some special events, and even special groups.

Last month, we teamed forces with New Filmmakers (www.newfilmmakersla.com) for the first of a regular monthly joint /nighttime /meeting. This co-branded venture begins with an All Cities meeting from 4-6 PM, followed by a reception and a program of short films, proceeded by yet another reception and another short film program. Over 300 people attended last month's receptions, which included guests from CAA and Relativity Media, respectively the top agency and independent production entity in the business. Catherine Clinch's All Cities Filmmaker group has recently merged with this special group, and we invite guests to our marathon June 29 meeting, from 4-10 PM at Sunset-Gower Studios. Hey, Media Group members are creative. We never do anything the easy way!

As I mentioned in the previous Presidents message, (it's official) we have now opened up our 3rd All Cities Real Estate Group. This new Real Estate Group will meet in downtown Los Angeles and is hosted by the Law Firm of Jeffrey Sax. This group meets the first Friday of every month.

This brings the total to seven vertical economic and networking groups under the All Cities Network umbrella. They are in the fields of Business and Finance, International, Film and Media, Commercial Real Estate, The Green Group, Technology Group and Professional Resource specialists.

I want to personally thank all of our host companies and our great moderators for their continued support.

As many of the members know, we had our 1st mixer of the new year at “The World Famous Laugh Factory” in West Hollywood on Saturday night May 1st . The event included dinner and a show….. and was free to all members. Members were encouraged to bring their wives or significant other. Over 90 people attended this event. Nothing beats laughing !!!

Last but not least the All Cities Network has prepared a “one sheet” for you, which will include new information on what groups you may attend as well as how many groups you may attend, and how often. As always, in the spirit of networking, I expect all members to attend at least one meeting a month. If you do that, you will learn first hand what is happening within the All Cities Network.
