She is Managing Partner in a number of shopping centers and Roemer Way Self Storage. Ms. Bergman raised the capital to acquire or fund over 33 shopping centers, 19 apartment buildings; a major master planned community, 5 start-up companies and developed her first self storage facility in Santa Maria, California, which she continues to manage. Background & Experience: Ms. Bergman has enjoyed two rewarding careers; 5-1/2 years in Executive Search recruiting and placing sales and marketing candidates for the Fortune 500 companies. During her career, she raised approximately $150,000,000 for the acquisition and development of numerous commercial real estate properties and start up companies. Early in her real estate career she earned “Top Listing and Selling” awards in the State of California and was co-owner of six Century 21 franchises. As a young entrepreneur Klara Bergman bought, sold, and operated apartment buildings. Simultaneously she marketed and sold large residential subdivisions as exclusive broker for Shappel Industries, Ponderosa Homes/Kaiser Aetna Homes and was lead agent, selling land to builders in the Redwood Shores, a waterfront community developed by Mobil Oil Company. In the late 70’s and early 80’s, Ms. Bergman hosted the popular weekly program, “Investment Tactics for Today” on Channel 22 and 18, and a nightly one-hour call-in radio show on KIEV, now KRLA. Ms. Bergman also hosted The Million Dollar Woman in Northern California. She co-authored a book published by Prentice Hall: How to Invest in Limited Partnerships and self published, “There is No Free Lunch.” Ms. Bergman appeared regularly on news and investment broadcasts on NBC, CBS and ABC, and traveled throughout California to conduct seminars and give speeches to promote the book.
